Meet Your Instructor:
Regan Stacey
Owner and Lead Instructor of The Forest Therapy School
Regan Stacey is an artist, writer, and mindfulness meditation teacher who brings humans and nature together for personal, collective, and planetary well-being. The forest has long been a partner in her life — through joy, curiosity, and life’s most difficult challenges. As a cancer survivor, she came to understand the healing power of nature through a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness. Now she, in turn, shares what she has learned: how to awaken the forest within.
She is dedicated to the work of reconnecting humans to nature and is highly credentialed as your instructor. She is qualified to teach mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) through Brown University and is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher through the Greater Good Science Center and Sounds True, with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach (MMTCP). She trained with Gil Fronsdal, Kirsten Rudestam, and Susie Harrington in Buddhist Eco-Chaplaincy and is certified through the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies and through the Association for Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs, where she completed her certification as a forest therapy guide.

"The Forest Therapy School's Forest Therapy Guide Program has been an amazing experience. The content, layout, delivery, pace and overall approach was so well done in all respects. It's been such a pleasure to learn from you, and I am truly grateful for the knowledge and skills I've acquired. I am confident and excited to begin my journey as a forest therapy guide, and look forward to being a part of the community. Thank you. " — Mike Sidoti, M.Ed., MBA, BCC
