I.
Pachamama, Terra Mater, Prithvi, Gaia, Mother Earth
Elementally alive, endlessly abundant – She is the eternal woman.
To the Mother of all life,
I bow in love and gratitude – a child returning home.
II.
“My dear wildling,
my tiny little wildflower,
will you bloom for me?”
whispered the Earth, as I rested in her quiet embrace.
III.
Tiny birds in tall bushes,
how audacious are you!
You sing your song,
loud and proud.
How can I stand by
and not sing my tune too?
IV.
Leaf by leaf,
I see the tree shed their old self.
Leaf by leaf,
I see the tree born anew.
V.
Choosing love over fear,
every step of the way,
trusting that the path
will reveal itself— I walk.
VI.
Leaves fall into place,
Sundrops glide off my skin.
My feet kiss the ground,
Frozen in time—a songbird sings for me.
Illusions shatter,
Tears roll off my chin.
In this jungle of mirth and bliss,
Will I find myself happy?
VII.
Nowadays, I find myself moving
like the birds, like the bees —
sometimes whimsical, like the wind, carried by my own will;
sometimes fierce, like the fire, burning away what no longer serves.
I'm also learning to move with purpose, like water —
gently, swiftly, at my own pace, carving my own way.
VIII.
As I was dancing with the waves,
twirling and singing to myself,
I realized I was the wave—
and the ocean in which it rose and fell.
IX.
With each wing stroke,
with each cluster of leaves,
I learn that nothing is alike
between you and me.
Yet we live hand in hand,
holding each other tenderly,
with nothing but love,
woven together in unity.
X.
As I moved softly through the woods
this humble offering arose for the
bountiful Mother Earth – She who
guides me, again and again,
back to my centre –
to truth, to connection, and
to the remembrance of kinship.
